A feature represents any capability in your application that you want to promote to stakeholders during the application development process. You can create features and child features during Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) sessions and throughout the application development process.
When you are developing an application and designing case types, you can link each case type to top-level features in Designer Studio. In addition, you can link existing rules to features, which makes it easier for you to extend the application by knowing which rules are associated with which features.
When you create a case type, a feature is automatically created for that case type. For example, when you create a Loan case type for an application called Banking, a Loan feature is automatically created.
